Welcome to the

15th by now twice Annual

BISRA GaddinAbtGarnish Swim

This swim around Garnish Island in Glengarriff, Co. Cork is one of the most stunning and safest island circumnavigation swims in Ireland.

It is set in a beautiful post-glacial landscape in the sheltered clear waters of the northeast corner of Bantry Bay surrounded by the rugged mountains of the Beara Peninsula and teaming with water wildlife.

Our swim options are 1k, 3k, 5k & 7k.

The tides are not optimal. 2 hours into the swim we'll be approaching half tide. This will particularly affect the 7k swimmers.

A cut-off time of 90 mins will be in effect before starting lap 3.

Safety Briefing on the slipway ready to swim will be at 17.15

Starting on-time at 17.30 is important for the success of the swim.

We welcome new swimmers to 'dip their toes' into an Open Water Swimming event. The 1k option is well suited for that.

Our swim is all about participating and the Craic. So come to enjoy the beautiful location, the sport and the sociability
